For sale, we have this gorgeous Danish Mid Century Modern teak high sideboard with tambour doors designed by Johannes Andersen for Uldum Mobelfabrik, model U-18. It is one of the most monumental and skillfully crafted credenzas of Danish mid-century design.
Our striking teak credenza features a flawless set of tambour-doors with sculpted pulls to help open smoothly and reveal four compartments with removable/ adjustable shelves and dovetailed drawers. Below is a set of two compartments with drop-down doors with the same signature sculpted pulls that open for additional storage space, and in between them, there are 3 wooden dovetailed drawers.
The monumental solid teak case features rounded edges for a more soft and organic aesthetic that sits on an expertly crafted sculptural base, enhancing the beauty and craftsmanship of the classic Danish design. The interior of this credenza is beautifully finished as well.
This sideboard is massive and requires a large space to shine: L 78.5” x D 17.75” x H 49.5”. It is also heavy.
The highboard is in excellent vintage condition with only a few minor scratches and slight flaws. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for a new home.
